Professional Photographer in Phnom Penh Cambodia

BIO

I am an English commercial, editorial and travel photographer based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Having lived and worked in Cambodia for many years, I have undertaken a wide range of photographic assignments for long established local and international clients for NGOs, advertising agencies, corporations, and travel publications.

My photographic journey began in my early teens using an old analogue 35mm film camera. On finishing high school I trained as an intern, black and white darkroom technician and assistant photographer at a vintage picture library and studio in Manchester.

With subsequent years in higher education I received a BA (hons) in Fine Art (film) at Central St. Martins College of Art in London. While living in London in the 1990s I produced a number of short analogue films, achieving screenings at film festivals in the UK and across Europe, including the 1998 London Film Festival.

A backpacking journey through Southeast Asia during this time proved transformative and in the early 2000s I returned to Cambodia, where I have since established myself as a professional photographer.

When I’m not shooting for clients, I enjoy exploring Cambodia’s provinces and neighboring countries by motorbike. These journeys continually inspire my work. A love of cinema and the visual arts strongly influences how I see and capture the world, shaping both my commercial work and personal projects.
